Executive Hygiene and Leisure Time

In an attempt to bond with the masses, one of the contenders recently stated that rather than spend money on a luxurious vacation he would rather sit in his bathtub for a good long soak.

While I encourage and respect diversity in all it's many forms ... including bathing habits ... for time-efficiency, lesser environmental impact, and the simple fact that I derive no enjoyment from sitting in a tepid pool of my own dirty water, I shower.

For duration of my tenure, the Legislative branch will be disbanded. With 230 years of laws on the books, nothing that 100 Senators and hundreds of Congressmen come up with could possibly be of material interest.

Some of the savings garnered by not paying their salaries, salaries of their vast staffs, office buildings, etc .. will be used to support the Washington-area businesses (taverns, prostitutes) who will be deprived of customers once they have left town. The remainder of the 1/3 of the Federal budget savings will be returned to the taxpayers.
